We Are So Excited To Announce This

Today seems to be my day!

I would like to share with you our new website!  Three weeks ago today, we received the news we had a huge problem with our website we paid to get built.  We were left with having to rebuild it by paying another $3,000.00 or to build it ourselves. I decided we would build it ourselves, giving Ruth Straight, Vice President, almost a heart attack.

We did it! Her from Florida, and I from Boston.  We, together, until 2 a.m. in the morning, BUILT our own site.  I cannot tell you how wonderful it feels to know we did something we didn’t know how to do and successfully went live this afternoon.  Many thanks to our brilliant new Executive Director, Linda Knowles, who came on board this past week, and helped us finish that much faster, and my amazing son who helped us get started.

What was meant to destroy us turned around to bless us.  We learned we can do anything and empowered us to believe there is nothing a person cannot do. Intimidation and limitation means nothing to me.  I can get the job done!  Thank You, God!  Here is our hard work, and determination paid off.  We are grateful for our friends, who knew what happened, and were praying and cheering us on.  Thank you.

Please share with others as we have exciting things happening in the Fall.

Be Blessed, My Friends.

Psalm 1

Psalm 1

Oh, the joys of those who do not

follow the advice of the wicked,

or stand around with sinners,

or join in with mockers.

But they delight in the law of the Lord

by meditating on it day and night.

They are like trees planted along the riverbank,

bearing fruit each season.

Their leaves never wither,

and they prosper in all they do.

But not the wicked!

They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.

They will be condemned at the time of judgment.

Sinners will have no place among the godly.

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly,

but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25

The Wisdom of God

(Verse 18)

The message of the cross is foolish to those

who are headed for destruction!

But we who are being saved know

it is the very power of God.

(Verse 19)

As the Scriptures say,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise

and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”

Grace 2

(Verse 20)

So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars,

and the world’s brilliant debaters?

God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.

(Verse 21)

Since God in his wisdom saw to it

that the world would never know him through human wisdom,

he has used our foolish preaching

to save those who believe.

(Verse 22)

It is foolish to the Jews,

who ask for signs from heaven.

And it is foolish to the Greeks,

who seek human wisdom.

(Verse 23)

So when we preach that Christ was crucified,

the Jews are offended

and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.

(Verse 24)

But to those called by God to salvation,

both Jews and Gentiles,

Christ is the power of God

and the wisdom of God.

(Verse 25)

This foolish plan of God is wiser

than the wisest of human plans,

and God’s weakness is stronger

than the greatest of human strength.
