When you think of Christmas, what do you think about? A Christmas Tree, presents, holly and mistletoe?
A common answer would be candy canes.
Unlike what most people think, there is a meaning behind candy canes. They’re a great treat, but that’s not all. The base of it is white, the white stands for the purity of Jesus Christ. The red stripes stand for the blood that He shed for us on the cross. The ‘cane’ shape is the shape of a shepherd staff symbolizing we are His sheep and He is our shepherd. If you flip it around, it is a ‘J’ finalizing that the candy cane is about Jesus and the wonderful things He did and currently does for us.
