I am thinking about how Sarah must have felt when Abraham passed her off to the King as his sister and not his wife. What was it like for her when the man she loved and trusted let her down? She says nothing! Abraham does this twice to her with two different rulers. Sarah never lashed out or disrespected Abraham.
This speaks volumes to me. We are so quick to defend ourselves by paying back evil for evil. Sarah was done a great wrong. She was married to Abraham and she didn’t deserve to be treated in such away. BUT God took care of Sarah. He protected her and delivered her. May I humbly suggest there was a hand that kept her through the despair, the fear, and the confusion? It was the hand of Almighty God.
Maybe you have been forgotten, mistreated, or betrayed. I’m here to remind you, God knows all about it. His hand still delivers, protects, and restores. You don’t have to say a word. Trust God, and lean not on your own understanding he knows begin to end and he will never disappoint you. This confidence in God will be rewarded. Sarah was counted for in the hall of faith!
Go, God, You don’t ever fail those who put their trust in you!
