The word for today,

Definition: “adequate for the want or need; sufficient for the purpose or to satisfy desire”

This what I know God to be for me!

He’s all I need!

He’s all I want!

He’s more than enough!

Ponder on this today. Who can satisfy your every desire? Who can meet all of your needs? Who can save you from all harm? Who can provide, help, and keep you? Who can heal you? Who can restore and uphold you? Who can do miracles too grand to explain? Who never leaves you behind, or forsakes you?

There is only one ENOUGH you will ever need:

His name is God, the Great I Am!

Make Him who sits in the Heavens, whose footstool is Earth, the One to please and call your ENOUGH.

Our Response Can Only Be

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.”  -Romans 5:10

He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.”  -2 Corinthians 5:15

Our chains are gone, and we’ve been set free.  We’ve been bought with a high price; That price being Christ dying on the cross, shedding His blood for us.  Since Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, His sacrifice is infinitely greater than any sacrifice or offering ever made.  Before God, we stand redeemed, are reconciled to and restored by God.

After all the Lord has done, our response can only be, “Thank You, Lord, for setting me free to live for You.  I’m Yours, O Lord.  Do with me as You will.”

Righteousness Brings Protection – Written By Pastor Michael Heil

“The righteous are delivered from trouble, it comes to the wicked instead.” -Proverbs 11:8

Walking righteously brings many blessings into our life.

Righteousness provides light to guide us.

Righteousness possesses a good conscience.

Righteousness strengthens our faith.

In Proverbs 11:8 (and in verse 6), we also learn walking in righteousness protects us from destruction.

In Proverbs 11:8 (and in verse 6), we also learn walking in righteousness protects us from destruction.

While working in law enforcement, I have seen this spiritual truth play out countless times.  I’ve seen individuals whose thinking will not allow them to be “disrespected” or “mocked.”  So instead of trusting God and walking away from trouble, they get into a fight, assault a person, and end up in prison; or because they want to “do my own thing,” they end up breaking the law and using drugs;  danger and trouble are drawn to them like a magnet.  The words of Proverbs 11:8, “…it comes to the wicked instead,” manifest in their lives by the exaltation of pleasure, possessions, and power that draws destruction into their life.

For the Christian who is in Christ, the presence of the Spirit protects us and keeps us by leading us away from self-gratification.  Following Him, changes our priorities in life and changes our attitudes.  We develop day by day “the mind of Christ.”  Subtly, almost unconsciously, you and I make choices and decision out of our Godly vision of reality which keeps us from the dangers and traps of Satan.  We escape the perfect will of Satan for our life.  Most of the time, we don’t recognize the innumerable ways we have been delivered from trouble because the calamity never touched us.  By faithfully walking in righteousness, we are saved from trouble.

Nothing Happens By Chance

I am convinced nothing happens by chance in the lives of those who decide no matter what life brings, they will follow God.  The paths of the righteous are led by God regardless of where those steps take them.  Remember who walks with you.  He promises to never leave you nor forsake you.

Suffering lasts just a little while because morning is coming!   Are you in in the middle of a desert, ocean, or deep into the darkest hour?  Don’t give up now.  Keep going, trusting God, living for Him.

In your suffering, keep your eyes on God.  Praise him, and don’t lose hope.  He does the greatest work in the darkest places of our lives!

Father, I pray for the ones who are suffering today.  I ask You to send Your ministering angels now to bring life and hope into their trial, and remind them You will personally take them out of it victoriously, leaving blessings and great testimonies of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Amen!  Be Blessed, My Friends!

People of Purpose

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;  A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” ~Psalm 51:17 NASB

Very early this morning, I was on a prayer conference call. Three friends and I joined for prayer via conference calling. It was amazing!

We prayed for each other, and we prayed for others who are in need without those people even knowing four people were praying for them before the day even began.  I heard my sisters cry before the Lord as they began to pray about the tough situations they were facing.  I literally felt pain in my heart for them.  I wanted to go through the phone and hug my friends.  They were laying their heavy hearts before the Throne Room of Heaven, totally broken.

God immediately brought to my mind, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.”

All of a sudden the pain I was feeling for my sisters turned to joy.  I knew God was honoring what they were laying at His feet and what we were believing God for.  God always honors when we come before him and stop pretending everything is fine by getting before Him humbly and emptying our hearts before Him.

When we are real, we allow the Spirit of God to speak to us to fill us with peace and joy.  The joy He gives us isn’t like the joy of any earthly possession we acquire.  The joy He gives is unspeakable, exuberant, and inexplicable. He wants you to experience this type of joy not based on what you are feeling because feelings lie to us all the time.  The world cannot give you this type of joy, only God can take the hurts, disappointments, and turn them to joy unspeakable.

I was very encouraged today.

My three friends and I were in the presence of God, and He made Himself felt in each of our hearts. One of the ladies prayed a prayer, which totally broke me. I had a “wow” moment.  I never knew she was hurting that badly.  She was tired, and she prayed just that.

People, can I just encourage you to always be the kind of person who will wrap your arms around people, encouraging them, loving with the love of God, and pray fully asking God who are the people around you who need that extra moment.  We are to be a people of hope for the hopeless, a beacon of light for those who are lost in the midst of their darkest moments.  There are people who are holding on by a thread of hope.  Be the strong rope that will lift them out of the pit of despair.

There is a new thing happening.   Can you not perceive it?

Be renewed in your spirit, and be the one who is going through the land encouraging, uplifting, and setting the prisoners free from the bondage of despair, hopelessness, and total destruction.  God Himself does not despise a broken heart.  If He doesn’t, don’t you think He’s expecting us not to either?

Let’s be people of purpose with open hearts and outstretched hands and in one accord bringing healing to our lands!
