Dish of Dirt, Anyone?

Dirt 1“When my daughter was a toddler, I used to take her to a park not far from our apartment. One day as she was playing in a sandbox, an ice-cream salesman approached us. I purchased her a treat, and when I turned to give it to her, I saw her mouth was full of sand. Where I had intended to put a delicacy, she had put dirt.

Did I love her with dirt in her mouth? Absolutely. Was she any less of my daughter with dirt in her mouth? Of course not. Was I going to allow her to keep the dirt in her mouth? No way. I loved her right where she was, but I refused to leave her there. I carried her over to the water fountain and washed out her mouth. Why? Because I love her.

God does the same for us. He holds us over the fountain. “Spit out the dirt, honey,” our Father urges. “I’ve got something better for you.” And so he cleanses us of filth; immorality, dishonesty, prejudice, bitterness, greed. We don’t enjoy the cleansing; sometimes we even opt for the dirt over the ice cream. “I can eat dirt if I want to!” we pout and proclaim. Which is true—we can. But if we do, the loss is ours. God has a better offer.”

The Crossroad of Decision

road-signsSometimes in life, you come to a crossroad. Going right or left is your only choice.

The truth is only one path is the best, the will of God, and the other disastrous, the will of man.  Just like a road, there are people behind you beeping, yelling, and screaming for you to hurry up, to go right or left. So is the same with choices we make. The voices of people or your own voice tries to make you choose quickly, hurry up, asking what’s taking so long.

Listen, God says, “My word is a lamp unto your path!” This means when your read up, prayed up, and listening up, you will be led by God himself.

This means when you’re read up, prayed up, and listening up, you will be led by God himself.

Friends, sometimes the light is a delayed red.  As impatient you might be and with all those beeps you get, the law says stop and wait.  If you run the red light there are consequences to pay.  Your excuse “They were beeping.  I had to run the light,” isn’t going to stand up in a court of law.

hope-alwayI will leave you to meditate on this today.  King David said it best, “Wait with hope for the LORD.  Be strong, and let your heart be courageous.  Yes, wait with hope for the Lord.”

No one said doing the will of God would be easy!  There is something you must do in the wait. Be courageous.  Be strong.  Have faith.  Wait patiently in hope!  He who has promised is reliable, able, truthful, and enduringly faithful!  He’s going to help you get to where you’re supposed to be.  I find God often takes us the long way around.  It’s when God takes us the long way around that we learn about his character.  He is reliable, trustworthy, and loving.  The road is hard for sure, but He will take us to where we are meant to be- His way, no shortcuts. The new year is approaching and the future might be uncertain, but I promise you He who began a good work in you will accomplish it.

Hang on because the new year will have

defining moments for you.

Don’t rush through.

Don’t make choices people are pushing you to make.

Be strong and courageous.

Stand strong in hope and faith.

God cannot fail you IF you’re seeking

His will and His way!

Two Choices

MORE THAN 1Make a choice… shout of victory OR cry of defeat? I’ll choose the shout of victory because through Christ who loves me I have been made more than a conqueror. If I have been made more than a conqueror, then so have you because HIS WORD tells us we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us! We are victors in Christ! It doesn’t matter what anyone says about you. What matters is what God says about you.

If you are a child of God, you already have victory.  Now walk in it.

Choose Wisely

Choosing destructive paths only hurts you in the end.

It’s sad to watch people make choices without thinking, and worse asking God, “Is this choice I’m making one that will not come back to hurt, embarrass, and bring me shame?”

Remember, perhaps, all things are permissible, but do they bring you and God honor?

People lose so many things they desire even God-destined will for their lives because they are foolish.

It’s a choice, Folks.

Which road will you take today? Honorable, or dishonorable?

One which brings you blessings or curses?

As for me, “I have hidden your word in my heart so that I will not sin against you!”

People, be more.

God didn’t make foolish people.

Choices made by us reveal the true us.

Choose wisely.

Those who choose wisely are triumphant in all they do.

“because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” –1 Peter 1:16

God says, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”  “Shall” is a command, My friends, and yes, it’s hard to do on our own; but, it is God who sanctifies us, not us! You and I can never achieve holiness by following a list of do’s and don’ts. We become holy by desiring to do the will of God because we understand he sanctifies us. We belong to God.

Our destiny is heaven bound; therefore, we live a life obeying God in ALL we do!

God says, ” I carried you on eagles wings.”

How then can we remove ourselves by doing evil in His sight? He has given us the power to live a life of holiness. Choices we make determine if we are heaven or hell bound.

Don’t be deceived, My friends.

Remember God says, ” You SHALL be holy, for I am holy!”

Quit Straddling The Fence

But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” -Joshua 24:15

You simply cannot serve God while holding hands with the devil. Get away from the worldly ways and get into God’s will.  Quit riding the fence, walking that fine line.   Who are you serving?  Step out, and step up boldly for our God!  Whatever it takes no matter what!

Ordered By God

Our steps are ordered by God. However, this not always the case.  Let me explain.

Have you ever been somewhere and asked yourself, “Why am I here?”  I have, and I realized very quickly I brought me there, not God.  We have to be very careful that we don’t confuse our desires to be leading of God.  I believe God.  I trust God to lead me to where He wants me to be and to be with whom He needs me to be with for a specific time.

We make wrong decisions all the time when we don’t allow God to do the leading.  Secondly, peer pressure is a killer of being where you’re supposed to be.  Sometimes, we do things we’re not to do just to please others.  This action is one of the most destructive things you can do.  I marvel at the most ridiculous reasons people tell me to excuse things they do.  I find myself saying in my mind, “Just shut up, keep quiet, don’t say a word!”  I look at their lives, and I clearly understand why all the havoc.  May I suggest before you go anywhere ask God, “Are you leading me to such a place or a person?”  It doesn’t matter if it’s the greatest place, or person on earth. It’s not about the place, or the person.  It’s all about are YOU to be there?

There are places and people God is trying to lead you to, but you’re getting in the way of His ordered steps for you and aborting them because you want to do what you want to do.  Pray, and ask God to lead you to the people and places where He will use you to bless others to bring him glory!  Be lead by His Spirit to high places where you’ll stand in awe of the purposes of God!  God’s plans can’t be stopped unless you remove yourself from His perfect will.  The more I work and listen to people, the more I realize just how much people lose for going their own way.  Today, you have a choice.  There are two roads before you clearly marked, “God’s Way” and the other, “My Way.”  God’s way might seem the hardest at the moment, but I promise you it will lead you besides still waters.  The other, your way, will led you to despair, and destruction; it will also death of dreams, plans, hopes, and desires.  People think in the end what will be will be.  This is the biggest lie of the Devil.  It happens to countless people.  They miss out on God’s blessings and purposes because they choose the wrong road.  Listen to people talk.  You’ll hear them tell you of their disappointments, heartaches, and troubles they caused themselves for going their way- never accomplishing their goals and dreams.

As for me, I’ll do it God’s way.  Which road will you choose today?  I’m begging you, choose God’s Way, you’ll lead the most exciting, liberating, purposeful life ever!!
