WE ALL HAVE THEM.
They are called .
Having people who can carry something before God for us is one of the privileges we have as children of God. We go to church or someone’s house where a prayer meeting is being held to meet with people of like faith, to seek God together. Some turn in prayer request cards to their church to be read before the assembly so their fellow brothers and sisters keep them in prayer. We may even ask to have our requests put on the church prayer list. And in this technological age, we can even submit requests to online prayer groups or send off an email to fellow believers or whatever place of worship we attend.
It’s great to have fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to lift us up in prayer. After all, we are to bear one another’s burdens, and in doing that, we fulfill the law of Christ (Reference Galatians 6:2).
BUT WHEN GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS,
OUR PETITIONS, OUR SUPPLICATIONS…
Do we give praise to God for answered prayer? Are we quick to declare His praises among the people? Do we testify of God’s goodness?
In Psalm 22:22, the Psalmist declared, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.”
Brothers & Sisters In Christ, we are to declare the goodness of the Lord, to exalt His name, to be unashamed to testify of what He has done, giving Him thanks in all things. REMEMBER to testify of His faithfulness. Praise His name among the peoples. Let others you asked to pray for you know God answered. Let them know He is faithful. Sing out His praises for He is truly good. Your testimony of praise will encourage those who are praying for you or those who are still waiting for God to answer them.
So often we forget to give God glory for who He is and what He has done. Do not neglect giving God the praise and glory due Him. When He answers prayer, give Him honor. Acknowledge Him in all things.
What has God done for you? Has He answered your prayer? Have you told those who you are praying for you what God has done? Did you tell them God is faithful?
Don’t let answers to prayer be
“Just one of those things”
I encourage you today give thanks and exalt the name of the Lord for what He has done for you. I encourage you to speak out about His goodness and His faithfulness, His unfailing love and His mercies that are new every morning.
“O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.” -Psalm 34:3
“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.” -Psalm 115:1
“You are my God, and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You.” -Psalm 118:28
May you all be blessed abundantly and know God is great and greatly to be praised always.
With much love,
