He Hears You, & He Will Answer

TEARS 1You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. -Psalm 56:8

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.  But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.  The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.  He rescues them from all their troubles.  The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.  The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.  For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!” -Psalm 34:15-20

Keep pressing forward. Do not give up.  Your Heavenly Father hears your every cry and takes note.  The answer is on the way.  Keep going, and keep seeking.  Cling to the truth of God.  Embrace every opportunity God gives you for growth.  No one said the process was easy, but the results are awesome…  they result in you being able to testify of the Lord’s goodness.

Much Love To You All,

TESTIMONY FROM:

Teresa Allissa Citro

Founder & President, Thread of Hope, Inc.

I’m giving God all the glory tonight because once again He has proven to me His great power and might, and I write this testimony because I know how awesome in power our God is. You and I are nothing. He doesn’t owe us anything, but He loves us; He helps us in times of need.

You have been praying for Justin these last two months. It has been difficult for me to see Justin suffer. My son lost 14 pounds in 2 months. He became anemic and lacked serious vitamin D too. I watched my son eat and move food from one side of his mouth to the other, as I silently prayed, “Please God let him swallow it,” and then pray, “God, please let him keep it in.” I sent countless messages to my closest friends asking prayer for Justin so he would be able to keep his food in. Every time, Justin wasn’t able to keep his food in, I would climb those steps to his bathroom and would speak out, “God, I trust you. I don’t care what I am seeing in front of me. I know you have healed Justin!” I would look at Justin’s sad and panic-stricken face, and I said, “Justin, Son, it is well with you because God has healed you. It’s going to be okay.” I would walk away almost ready to faint myself and fight back every single tear rising up. I reminded myself each time WHO I said God was, and WHO He was in my life.

Finally, Wednesday, I received a call from the doctor to let me know Justin needed an MRI immediately. She was very firm and even told me she was calling me from her vacation. I told her, “Please, I am dying here. Please, please, get him in as soon as possible.” She told me, “Okay, go to the hospital tomorrow.” I was at work when she called me. I couldn’t help myself. I don’t like to embarrass myself, but I couldn’t hold the tears in any longer. I said to the people at work I was leaving, and no matter what I was not going to believe what I had been told. I called all my friends, and we started praying. God brought to my mind, the blood work came back normal, not just once, but 3 times now, the blood work God told me to pray over that I wrote about a few weeks ago. The next day, we went for the MRI. As I was sitting there, I felt God tell me to go in the room with Justin and pray over every single x-ray they were going to take. I told the guy I would like to go with Justin. Of course, he tried talking me out of it as it’s radiation. I told him, “Please, I do not want you to think I am weird, but I must be in this room because I have to pray while the x-rays are taken.” He looked at me, smiled, and said, “I understand. Please take out anything you have on that is metal, and please don’t get close to the machine. We will give you a chair, and they even gave me a blanket to wrap around me. For each x-ray, and they took over ONE THOUSAND of them. I prayed for them. I thanked God the x-ray would be perfect. For over 45 minutes, they took the x-rays and I prayed. In the middle of it, as I had my eyes closed, I saw the x-rays. They were standing on a wall. They were pure white! I got spooked, sort of spoke, and opened my eyes. It was so quick, like one second. I knew God had shown me the x-rays, and God was showing me Justin was fine. I told Justin after they were done, in fact, they were now in the room removing the IV, etc. They heard me say, “Justin, don’t be frightened, My Son, God showed me your x-rays. They are fine. They will find nothing wrong. It has not spread. You are more than fine!”

Next day, on Good Friday, we received the call from the doctor’s nurse, who called in a prescription for his inflammation, and told us doctor would talk to us on Tuesday. Today, we went to the doctor. We have known since the colonoscopy Justin had colitis, but we didn’t know how far it had spread. The first thing the doctor told us was, “Justin, the MRI x-ray came out perfect!” God had told me to specifically pray that each X-ray would come out perfect. He told me to call out in my prayer, “This x-ray will show itself to be perfect in every way!” That is what happened, every single x-ray (all ONE THOUSAND plus x-ray) I prayed for. The doctor said, “Each x-ray was absolutely perfect!” She explained it was a mild/moderate form that will be easily maintained with medicine, not needing any kind of strong medicine, and that it is only contained to the colon, she believed it would go into remission! Can you say with me, “Thank You, God!” Furthermore, originally they gave him all sorts of restrictions for his diet. Today, he was told he can eat whatever he wants, in moderation, and he can go exercise. He cannot run with me for a while. For goodness sake, I don’t need him losing weight. We are now on a mission to GAIN weight. Nanna, bring on the fattening foods. PASTA, PASTA, and more PASTA.

I have lived a nightmare. For those who have had sick children you understand. However, tonight it is NOT about my nightmare. It is all about the faithfulness of God. It is about our faith and trust in a true and living God. It is about understanding our authority as children of the All Powerful God, a God Who Hears, a God Who Sees, and a God Who Answers upon our call to him. I want to encourage you tonight: God is NOT a God who plays favorites. He comes to the rescue of all those whose hearts are right before Him, and He comes with might, power, wonder, with deliverance and healing. He can do what He did for Justin and even more. Your impossible situation is possible because we serve a God of the impossible! Thank you for praying, and keep praying Justin gains all his weight back. To all those of you who have not left my side with your encouraging words, prayers of faith, messages, calls, thanks for being a strong tower for me to lean on and for reminding me I serve a God who will not leave me nor forsake me.

GLORY 1

Just One Of Those Things

WE ALL HAVE THEM.

They are called prayer-1.

Having people who can carry something before God for us is one of the privileges we have as children of God.  We go to church or someone’s house where a prayer meeting is being held to meet with people of like faith, to seek God together.  Some turn in prayer request cards to their church to be read before the assembly so their fellow brothers and sisters keep them in prayer.  We may even ask to have our requests put on the church prayer list.  And in this technological age, we can even submit requests to online prayer groups or send off an email to fellow believers or whatever place of worship we attend.

It’s great to have fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to lift us up in prayer.  After all, we are to bear one another’s burdens, and in doing that, we fulfill the law of Christ (Reference Galatians 6:2).

BUT WHEN GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS,

OUR PETITIONS, OUR SUPPLICATIONS…

praise-and-worship-17Do we give praise to God for answered prayer?  Are we quick to declare His praises among the people?  Do we testify of God’s goodness?

In Psalm 22:22, the Psalmist declared, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.”

Brothers & Sisters In Christ, we are to declare the goodness of the Lord, to exalt His name, to be unashamed to testify of what He has done, giving Him thanks in all things.  REMEMBER to testify of His faithfulness.  Praise His name among the peoples.  Let others you asked to pray for you know God answered.  Let them know He is faithful.  Sing out His praises for He is truly good.  Your testimony of praise will encourage those who are praying for you or those who are still waiting for God to answer them.

So often we forget to give God glory for who He is and what He has done.  Do not neglect giving God the praise and glory due Him.  When He answers prayer, give Him honor.  Acknowledge Him in all things.

What has God done for you?  Has He answered your prayer?  Have you told those who you are praying for you what God has done?  Did you tell them God is faithful?

Don’t let answers to prayer be

“Just one of those things”

you forget.

I encourage you today give thanks and exalt the name of the Lord for what He has done for you.  I encourage you to speak out about His goodness and His faithfulness, His unfailing love and His mercies that are new every morning.

“O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.” -Psalm 34:3

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.” -Psalm 115:1

“You are my God, and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You.” -Psalm 118:28

May you all be blessed abundantly and know God is great and greatly to be praised always.

With much love,

testify

I want to share this miraculous testimony.

“Make me understand your ways, O LORD!

Teach me your paths!”

Psalms 25.4

In the last few years, God has been teaching me how to really listen, understand, and walk in His paths, not mine. Hard to do at times as I don’t always want to do what He asks me to do.

Ruth and I have been working on a very important project at Thread of Hope. I said to God, “I really don’t know how to make this happen, God?” The next day, I felt God tell me to go meet with the VP of a bank. I told God, “I don’t know this bank, they will think I am crazy God.” I called Ruth, and I told her what God just told me. I asked for her to please pray!

I went to the bank and spoke to the VP. I told him, “I must sound crazy to you, but I feel God wanted me to talk to you about this project, do you think I’m crazy?” He laughed, and told me, “No, I don’t think you’re crazy, but this has never been done before. I don’t know how to make this happen.” I asked him if he would try? He told me, “Yes, I will try for you, because I feel in my heart to help you.” I thanked him and left his office.

Three weeks went by just wasn’t coming together as fast as I needed it to be. I woke up, at the hotel here in Florida, called Ruth and told her, “Ruth, while I was praying just now, God gave me a vision, and I saw our project, and what we asked of the bank come to pass.” I mean, Ruth, I saw the whole thing before my eyes. God is going to do this, I know He is.” Well, by the end of that day, we learned maybe it might not happen as the deadline for the project was that very day. We waited with bated breath, and at the end of the day, it had NOT happened. I began to question God about what He told me to do and what He showed me that very morning. I called Ruth, and I told her, “Forget it, I must have missed understood what God showed me. Let’s forget about this, and let’s go to our second plan.”

As she began to implement our second plan, I was so disappointed. I went to my hotel room and went to bed. Then, God spoke to me so loud, “Did I not give you a command to go to that bank? Didn’t I lead you there? Did I not show you this morning I am going to give you this project by this bank? You are out of line. Stop what you are doing now. I am not in your second plan. You are panicking and trying to do this your way. Call Ruth, and ask her to stop what you asked her to do now.”

Well, you know it, God told me I was out of line, and He wasn’t in it. I jumped out of bed, night shirt and all, left my hotel room, and I knocked on her door, as she was on the phone implementing my second plan. I asked her to hang up now, “God said no to this second plan, Ruth, hang up the phone please.” Talk about neurotic behavior. Poor Ruth. I explained what God just showed me, and I told her we had to wait.

Well, the next day, at the end of the day, 15 minutes before the bank closed, on Friday, we received the phone call from the bank telling us we got what I had asked and for more than I requested. The VP called me and told me he couldn’t believe we got what I asked for and thanked me for helping him connect to the very top President. He told me he learned a lot from this request of mine, and he could never be the same again. Imagine that! Instead of me thanking him, he is thanking me because he witnessed a miracle.

God leads our steps, My Friends. However, there is something we must do. We need to understand His ways. He’s not asking us to understand the ways of our families or friends. He’s asking us to understand HIS ways. His ways are higher than our ways. We must ask Him to show us His ways. We have to go where He leads us to go, and we must do what He asks us to do regardless of what others might think. We must believe what He asked of us. We must believe that when we truly choose to follow Him no matter what He will begin to show us things that don’t make sense in the natural but make a lot of sense in the supernatural. When what He said doesn’t happen according to our timeline, we must wait for His perfect timing. We must remain steadfast on what He has told us. We cannot panic and do things our way. We must listen for His small still voice, and no matter what He tells us we must follow it.I almost made a huge mistake by taking matters into my own hands and missed out on one of the greatest opportunities to watch a miracle take place and build an incredible relationship with these people at this bank. I am no longer a customer to them, they know me by name now and I know God gave me

I almost made a huge mistake by taking matters into my own hands and almost missed out on one of the greatest opportunities to watch a miracle take place and build an incredible relationship with these people at this bank. I am no longer a customer to them. They know me by name now, and I know God gave me favor, and there is a bigger plan at stake here I haven’t even thought or dreamed about. This testimony is a testimony of the goodness of my God. He wants us to understand His ways, and He wants to lead our paths. I don’t know about you, but for me, I want to understand only His ways, and I want Him to lead my paths to where He wants me to go and what He wants me to do. What an amazing day for real. God is so good and so gracious, and so awesome!

God has a timetable and it is always different than ours. This moment was a defining moment for me as I was led to a bank, with a project idea, and I almost missed it because of my timetable. Imagine if God didn’t stop me? I would have missed out big time. Wait on God and make every moment a defining one.

GOODBYE, 2016! HELLO, 2017!

new-thing

As 2016 is about to finish, I’m thanking God for every second he gave me during this year. There were good moments, great moments, and awesome moments; there were bad ones, sad ones, and painful ones too.

Through it all, I learned so much.  I learned much more about God’s unending faithfulness, love, mercy, and grace.  I saw His wonder-working miracles.  I witnessed impossible situations become realities, unexplainable outcomes to problems no earthly human could solve, and miraculous healings. The hand of God and His favor were definitely on my life and my children’s lives.

Did I get all I had hoped for in 2016?  No, I did not.  I got so much more than just what I wanted.  Man makes plans, but it’s the Lord’s purposes that prevails.  I finally learned the most valuable lesson of all: to be content in every single situation I find myself in, wanting nothing more than the will of God for that moment and time, and to remain faithful and strong even when all I wanted and hoped for didn’t happen yet.

The year 2016 was a challenge, and by the grace of God, I made it.  I know the tears I shed in 2016 served huge purposes.  I can attest in a huge way, as you followed me, God heals. Miracles happen.  Good comes out bad.  Faith is built as we endure under the pressure of life’s troubles and heartaches, and I’m much stronger;  what the enemy meant for evil, God turned it into defining moments.

My Friends, it’s not about a bad year versus a good year. It’s about you and how you come forth from the storms of life.  Is your trust in God solid no matter what?  Do you know whom you trust in?  Is your faith so great you can say like Job, “Even if he slays me, I will hope in him.”  A great man or woman is made in the fire, the fiercest storms, battered, and bruised.  It’s there we come forth as silver and gold, but not everyone comes forth as silver and gold.  Some become angry, bitter, and hateful.  God forbid you and I come forth like that.  Our theology must be right.  We must understand that we live in a fallen world. This world holds hate, prejudices, sicknesses, and evil of all sorts.

As a child of God, I must be tested so I can attest to the greatness of my God.  God, I want to thank You for showcasing Your power and might, proving to me You will never leave me or forsake me.  For the secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him.  You make Your covenant known to them.  You are not a man that you should lie.  You direct the path of the righteous.  The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.” Thank you, God, for bringing me out victoriously. I thank you for the year of preparation 2016!

Finally, I thank You because I know, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”  You rescued me from all evil and the weapons formed against me served to push me to my real destiny in you! “Your plans are to prosper and give me an expected hope and future.” Notice the word, “expected,” and it will come to pass all the purposes God has planned for my life, my children’s lives, and YOURS!

To this year 2016, thank you for all the preparation you made for me which defined my path, plans, and purposes.  The year 2017 is going to be the year of God’s favor!

Reminder To Refocus

psalm-77

When we focus on the problem, finding any possible solution or stew in the situation, so to speak, it means our eyes are not on God. It isn’t easy, when we are in a storm, to keep our eyes on Jesus, praising him despite the circumstances. Dwelling on the problem only brings us to an overwhelming emotion of not being able to succeed, that we have failed. It isn’t the “norm” to go to Him first. This is something we, as Christians, need to do first; go to Christ first and foremost with our problems.

God’s promises don’t change, no matter how severe or hurtful the situation is. Focus on Jesus instead of your circumstances. He will give you that peace and calmness like only He can. He will take away the fear from you. He will give you hope. He will guide you through and deliver you. Just keep your eyes, ears, and heart on Him alone. Watch how He will put things together for you.
